I remember the moment I got my first macro lens, it was a game changer! And what perfect specimen to experiment on than delicate flowers. Flowers are the best subjects for macro photography. You can capture a lot of details, have a variety of shapes and colors, and they work well with lighting. So I packed my bags, brought my parents with me to visit the magical Araluen Botanic Park in the south of Perth. The hidden garden looks spectacular at any time of the year. In these images, I shot the purple Hydrangea, red roses, white Camellia and my personal favourite, the Gaillardia.

The devil is in the details.
